The Teradek Bolt is a wireless HD-SDI monitoring system that transmits zero delay uncompressed HD video at full 1080p60 4:2:2 fidelity. Bolt has a looping 3G-SDI input on the transmitter, dual 3G-SDI outputs on the receiver, and can transmit to multiple receivers simultaneously at up to 300ft away. The transmitter is housed in a rugged machined T6061 aluminum chassis with several 1/4 threaded mounting holes for easy attachment to your camera. The receiver is made of durable ABS plastic that can easily mount to your monitor or sit by your video switcher.
1 TX to Multiple RX
One of the best features of Bolt is its ability to transmit full 1080p60 HD video to multiple receivers simultaneously. Bolt receivers have dual 3G-SDI outputs, which means you can connect them to professional field monitors, video switchers, or even Teradek Cubes.
Connectivity
Bolt transmits uncompressed video using WSDI Pro, which provides a wireless range of up to 300ft and can coexist with other wireless equipment by dynamically adjusting the frequency bands used in real time. In addition to transmitting the video, Bolt’s 3G-SDI loop-through with active line drivers allows you still use the camera’s SDI output for onboard recorders or monitors.
Rugged and Low Power
Bolt transmitters are housed in a 7oz milled aluminum chassis with six 1/4-20 mounting holes. The receiver is enclosed in a durable ABS plastic shell. Both units require approximately 3.0W of power and have an operating temperature of 0-50 degrees Celsius. To power these units for long periods of time, Bolt offers a Lemo DC input that can be used to connect with external power sources such as V-mount or Gold-mount batteries. Additionally, Bolt’s internal rechargeable Li-Ion battery provides 2 hours of run time and can be charged via its micro USB port or its Lemo DC input.
Bolt Meets Cube
Since Bolt’s receiver has dual 3G-SDI outputs, Teradek Cube encoders can connect with it and transmit a compressed video feed over WiFi for live Internet streaming, H.264 proxy recording, or wireless monitoring on iOS devices. This capability allows you to take advantage of the best features both technologies have to offer without worrying about interference or limited camera outputs.
