2/3′ HDTV Field (Box Type)
With the end of analog broadcasting in the US, Europe and Japan, and the shift to digital in emerging economies, this lens fills a sweet spot in Fujifilm’s complete line of 2/3 studio/field lenses. With a focal length from 9.5 to 525mm (or 19.0 to 1050mm with a 2x extender), this XA55x9.5 Fujinon zoom lens offers outstanding performance in the most challenging environments.
Like the very popular XA50x9.5, this lens is available with a built-in lens support bracket for mounting on an ENG-style camera. Removing the need for additional camera lens support increases the cost efficiency of this lens. Optionally, the lens is available without the built-in bracket, allowing it to be mounted directly to a hard camera, or a camera build up kit.
Optical image stabilization – this is standard on the lens, making it ideal for any application where the camera operator must maintain a rock steady close up shot for long periods, such as sporting events, houses of worship, corporate presentations, or concerts.
In addition, its 16-bit encoder outputs zoom, focus position and other lens data – allowing it to combine CGI seamlessly with live images.
The lens also provides a host of practical features including proprietary Digital Quick Zoom. With all its acclaimed broadcast and film lenses, Fujinon lenses combine the latest optical simulation technology with fast T-stops, quality coatings, exact color reproduction, flare rejection and transparency.
Digi Power
With broadcasting technology rapidly converting to digital, Fujinon has developed a new digital servo control system, DIGI POWER, to enhance the performance of its zoom lenses. State-of-the-art components including a 32-bit RISC processor in the lens, a CPU in each servo demand, optical encoders and high-speed serial communication devices, together with the newly developed digital control circuit, provide 13-bit accuracy in zoom and focus control as well as a variety of new functions.
An RS232 connector in the lens provides a connection between the lens and a PC, or other control device, for external control. This function has made it possible to control the lens functions with the high degree of accuracy and reliability needed for virtual studio and other robotic applications, and to raise the level for all production environments.
OS-TECH
Fujinon’s OS-TECH (Optical Stabilization) contains sensors to detect the slightest movement horizontally or vertically that could cause vibration. A correction signal is applied to the optical correction system, which helps to maintain a stable image while shooting from an unstable platform.
Digital Quick Zoom
Quick Zoom speed is improved to 0.7 seconds end to end. Quick Zoom provides for a rapid zoom movement to the telephoto position to check focus with the simple push of a button. Releasing the button returns the lens to the previously selected zoom position. Quick Zoom can now be performed remotely from the ERD-T22 and ERD-10A-D01.
